How do I prevent my rug from slipping or moving on hardwood or tile floors?

There are several ways to prevent your rug from slipping or moving on hardwood or tile floors:

  1. Use an underlay: A rug underlay that goes beneath your rug to provide extra grip and prevent slipping. There are different types of rug pads available, such as non-slip rubber, felt, and foam, which can be cut to size to fit your rug. You can purchase underlay from us here.
  2. Apply double-sided carpet tape: You can apply double-sided carpet tape to the underside of your rug to keep it in place. This tape is easily removable and won't damage your floors.
  3. Use Velcro strips: If your rug is particularly large or heavy, you can use Velcro strips to anchor it to the floor. Simply apply the Velcro strips to the underside of the rug and the floor and press them together.
  4. Place furniture on the edges: If your rug is placed in a room with furniture, you can place the furniture on the edges of the rug to hold it in place.

It's important to prevent your rug from slipping or moving as it can be a safety hazard, particularly if you have children or pets in your home. Additionally, a moving rug can cause damage to your floors or furniture.
